Steven L. Goldberg, CPA
Managing Director/Investments
Steve began his investment industry career at Stifel in 1993. Prior to joining Stifel, he worked for a CPA firm in public accounting for more than seven years. Steve always had a fascination with investments and studying and investing in stocks. With little money to start investing in the early 1990s, he held four accounts with four different financial advisors at four different firms to provide him with more information and access to various research. Steve soon became the person who would provide investment guidance at the CPA firm, before he had an epiphany that he could make a living doing this. He made the leap in 1993, and for more than 30 years, he has never looked back.
Steve earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Accounting from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. He holds Series 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses, as well as life, health, and variable insurance licenses (including long-term care and annuities).
Outside the office, Steve is a board member and student recruiting chairperson and formerly served as treasurer for the University of Michigan alumni club of St. Louis. He is also a finance committee member and previously served as treasurer and board member for PROMO, a nonprofit for Missouri’s LGBTQ+ community. In his spare time, Steve is an avid traveler and enjoys family time, skiing, golf, exercise, and collecting stamps and coins.
